Snow Waves

Near-frozen water crashes on the shore as snow at Miles Cove, Newfoundland, Canada in Spring of 2003. Why is no one jumping in to play?!

Amy Winehouse

I’m too busy/lazy to do a decent write-up for Amy Winehouse but that’s what links are for. Her newest album, Back to Black has been on repeat for a while now, especially “Rehab”, “You Know I’m No Good”, “Me & Mr. Jones” and “Addicted”. Soul meets jazz meets old-school R&B.

Sing it baby.

Lunar Eclipse In Two Weeks

On 3 March, two weekends from now, the earth will eclipse the sun from the perspective of the moon, blocking its light save what filters through our atmosphere, painting the otherwise full moon in sunrise shades of orange and red. If you were on the moon looking back at Earth, the planet would appear surrounded in a ring of fire as light diffuses around the surface.

Ancient lunar eclipses helped early astronomers theorize that Earth was spherical by the curved shadow cast on the moon.
