If you haven’t watched Marina Abramovic: The Artist Is Present, the documentary about Marina and her retrospective at the MoMA in 2010, then add it to your to-do list. I was only tangentially familiar w/ her work until I saw this, so for me it was a real discovery. You don’t need to be a fan of performance art to appreciate her strength, dedication, and overall mastery of mind-over-body.

Trailer for the 13-episode Cosmos reboot, starring Neil deGrasse Tyson, and executive produced by, among others, Ann Druyan (Carl Sagan’s wife) and Seth MacFarlane.

“There’s never been a more important time for COSMOS to re-emerge than right now. I want to make this so entertaining, and so flashy, and so exciting that people who have no interest in science will watch just because it’s a spectacle,” said MacFarlane.
